Although we were sad to see Prof’s Ono and Osato retire this year, we are delighted to welcome our new staff member: Ms Suzuko Brown-Mamoto. Her office is on the 5th floor of building 8.
Once again we are hosting 4 students from Winchester University in the UK. They will be with us for the next 3 months, studying language teaching and Japanese language and culture. Their names are:

On June 10, our ESS circle held a farewell party to Nicky, Alice, and James–our Winchester students. They have played a large role in ESS this year, and were particularly helpful in preparing our students for their speech contests. We wish them all the best, and will miss having them on our campus!
