On July 15, we were privileged to enjoy Mr. Rio Imamura’s lecture entitled “Dear Miss Breed” [see info]. He spoke about the work of Clara Breed, in particular focusing on her support for the Japanese-American children who were placed in internment camps during World War II.

On May 21-22, we held our annual English Camp for 1st and 2nd Year students. This year, we traveled to Greenpia Yame – a resort in the mountains in southern Fukuoka Prefecture. Our first group of English Department students graduated from Seinan Jo on March 24. A very sad day to say goodbye, but exciting for them as they begin their new lives!
