Twice a year we publish a faculty newsletter called “Humanitas.” The name humanitas comes from the latin word for humanity, which fits our Faculty of Humanities nicely. The newsletter contains articles from our students and staff which are relevant to our faculty’s goals.
人文学部のニューズレターの名称、“フマニタス”（Humanitas）は“人間的なもの”という原義を有します。本誌は西南女学院大学人文学部で共に学ぶ在学生、卒業生、教職員などが共有する“場”において西南人が身を委ねる伝統的な文化風土の涵養、維持、継承、発展を期して、広く人間、教養、教育を理念的に網羅するフマニタス的視座で誌面上において展開される相互交流を通して情報、体験、思索、など自由闊達な声を反映する豊かなる“場”、“十字路”たらんことを期しています。これからも更に豊かなる多様“声”が発露が期されるところです。
