About Malcolm Swanson
Malcolm Swanson is a professor of English studies at Seinan Jo Gakuin University. He currently teaches oral English and English discussion classes, as well as Internet Studies, Presentation Studies, English Listening, Extensive Reading, and a seminar class.
Background
Malcolm Swanson was born in New Zealand in 1955. He attended Palmerston North College of Education, and became a primary school teacher in 1978. He taught in New Zealand for 9 years, before coming to Japan in 1989. He joined the faculty of Seinan Jo Gakuin University in 2006.
Personal
Malcolm Swanson’s research interests include computer-assisted language learning, student-centered learning, and curriculum development. His other interests include graphic design, cooking, outdoor sports (hiking, distance walking, camping, mountain biking, etc) and Apple computers.
