Becuase of its clean water and beautiful beaches, the Abel Tasman National Park is home to some of the best kayaking in the country.

Abel Tasman National Park

We took a water taxi to Abel Tasman National Park – very exciting, very beautiful. We could enjoy a loooong bush walk and a swim at Enclosure Bay.

Camping trip

From Friday to Sunday, we went camping in the Abel Tasman National Park at a place called Old MacDonald’s Farm [website] in Marahau. Here are some pictures of camp life.

Founders’ Park

After classes today, we visited Founders’ Park [website]… a historical site where many of the old buildings from Nelson have been moved and preserved. The students all completed a quiz which Gertrude had prepared.

Horse riding

Tuesday was horse riding at Happy Valley. Lots of fun, panics, and only one fall!
