Last day…

Friday was our last day to study at Winchester University. The students all received certificates before sitting down to a lunch of pizza with their teachers…

Finishing and farewells…

Our last full school day at Winchester, and all the students gave presentations on some aspect of British culture. Then it was time to say goodbye to one of their teachers, Sharon. That evening, we invited out the rest of the staff to thank them… we went to a delicious Spanish restaurant. Then, Pip, Hannah, and Laura took the students to a pub and a club to say farewell.

Lulworth Cove

Lulworth Cove is a beautiful fishing village in Dorset, about 90 minutes drive from Winchester. For our final excursion, we drove there for the day, and enjoyed a boat ride, a walk over the hillside, and a chance to see Durdle Door on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast.

Winchester College

After classes today, we visited Winchester College [link]. This is one of the oldest schools in Great Britain, as it was founded over 600 years ago. The school grounds are full of beautiful old buildings, and on our tour we learned about the school’s proud traditions. It is listed as one of England’s most prestigious schools, and many students have gone on to become important and famous people.

France 3 – Final Day

Today was a more relaxing day, but we did many things again. We visited Notre Dame Cathedral, the Arc de Triomphe, and then went shopping on the Champs de Elysee. After that we all returned to the hotel for dinner, and then caught the subway to the Eiffel Tower to see it lit up at night – so beautiful!! Finally, we went back down to the riverside for a final party in France!!
