From late June to early July, Tsukamoto Seminar visited Tongyeong and Busan in South Korea. This was part of a project undertaken by the Department of Tourism and Culture. The first stop, Tongyeong, is a coastal city about an hour and a half’s drive from Busan and is also known as the ‘Naples of the East’. Here, we stayed at the Sejahtera Forest, a facility built as a centre for ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) in Asia. While there, we learnt about ESD initiatives in Tongyeong and gave a presentation on our project. Next, in Busan, we visited Dongyi University and interacted with students who were learning about lifelong education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
