Christchurch is a city full of nature, surrounded by mountains and the sea, yet it also offers plenty of opportunities for shopping and entertainment. In New Zealand, animals and Maori culture are highly valued, and I had the chance to see kiwis up close and join a party with people learning Maori, where I also learned a bit of the language. In Christchurch, a free Christmas concert is held annually at Hagley Park. I went with my friends and enjoyed listening to various artists perform Christmas songs. On Christmas Day, we each brought our home countries cuisines to a friend\u2019s house and we had an international dinner and shared a memorable time together. One of the most unforgettable experiences was going hiking with my friends and then taking a boat to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Diamond Harbor. There were some mishaps along the way, like almost losing our luggage and getting caught in light rain during a picnic, but the weather cleared up when we got on the boat. We could see a bright blue sky and emerald-green lake views. While the scenery was beautiful, being able to go with my close friends also made this day an unforgettable memory for me. The people of Christchurch were kind, calm, and friendly. The city felt just as safe as Japan, and I would love to visit again if I have the chance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1
