We ate too much, we laughed a lot, we wrote postcards, and we got to know each other better. Thanks to all the students and teachers who made this year’s camp such a success! In particular, thanks to Laurie and Paul, our friends from Vancouver Island University in Canada for joining us on camp – we loved having you with us.

On Day 1, our students all took part in “Seijo-Lympics” – this was a set of 6 team building activities. The first 5 activities used English to complete some tasks, and we finished with a dance contest. Lots of fun, and a great start to the camp!

Always on the first night of camp, we hold an English Skit Contest. All the groups of students have been planning 8-minute skits before camp which they perform on stage after dinner. They are always very funny, and everyone laughs a lot. [Watch the skits on YouTube]

On the second day of camp, we visited Motonosumi Shrine 元乃隅神社. It was wild and windy, but we still managed to enjoy walking through all the torii gates and appreciating the view – plus we took lots of pictures, of course!
