This February, 4 of our students and one teacher traveled to Cambodia to follow up on the volunteer work they have been doing at Seinan Jo. Here, they share some comments and photos about their experiences there:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part 1. \u30ab\u30f3\u30dc\u30b8\u30a2\u306e\u4eba\u3005\u3068\u306e\u4ea4\u6d41<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u30ab\u30f3\u30dc\u30b8\u30a2\u306e\u5b66\u751f\u3084\u73fe\u5730\u306e\u4eba\u3005\u3068\u95a2\u308f\u308b\u4e2d\u3067\u3001\u8a00\u8449\u3084\u56fd\u5883\u3092\u8d8a\u3048\u3066\u5fc3\u304c\u901a\u3058\u5408\u3046\u559c\u3073\u3092\u611f\u3058\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u4e3b\u306b3\u4eba\u306e\u5b66\u751f\u3068\u306f\u82f1\u8a9e\u3067\u4f1a\u8a71\u3092\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u767a\u97f3\u304c\u96e3\u3057\u304f\u805e\u304d\u53d6\u308a\u306b\u304f\u3044\u3053\u3068\u3082\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u304c\u3001\u7406\u89e3\u3057\u5408\u3048\u305f\u3068\u304d\u306f\u5b09\u3057\u304f\u3001\u8ae6\u3081\u305a\u306b\u4f1d\u3048\u7d9a\u3051\u308b\u59ff\u52e2\u3092\u8eab\u306b\u3064\u3051\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002Through interacting with Cambodian students and local people, I felt the joy of connecting beyond language and borders. I mainly spoke in English with three students. Although their pronunciation was sometimes difficult to understand, I was happy when we understood each other, and I developed the determination to keep communicating without giving up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u30ab\u30f3\u30dc\u30b8\u30a2\u5b66\u751f\u306e4\u4eba\u3068\u73fe\u5730\u306e\u65b9\u3005\u3068\u95a2\u308f\u308b\u4e2d\u3067\u3001\u4eba\u3068\u4eba\u3068\u306e\u3064\u306a\u304c\u308a\u3084\u8a00\u8a9e\u529b\u3001\u7a4d\u6975\u7684\u306a\u59ff\u52e2\u306e\u91cd\u8981\u6027\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u6539\u3081\u3066\u5b66\u3076\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u305f\u307e\u306b\u82f1\u8a9e\u3067\u306e\u8868\u73fe\u304c\u5206\u304b\u3089\u305a\u3001\u6094\u3057\u3044\u601d\u3044\u3092\u3059\u308b\u5834\u9762\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u4eca\u5f8c\u306f\u8868\u60c5\u3084\u30dc\u30c7\u30a3\u30e9\u30f3\u30b2\u30fc\u30b8\u306a\u3069\u3092\u6709\u52b9\u7684\u306b\u6d3b\u7528\u3057\u3066\u3001\u2019\u2019\u4f1d\u3048\u305f\u3044\u2019\u2019\u3068\u3044\u3046\u59ff\u52e2\u3092\u5927\u5207\u306b\u3057\u3066\u3044\u304d\u305f\u3044\u3068\u601d\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002Interacting with four Cambodian students and the local people taught me so much about the importance of human connection, language skills, and staying proactive. There were times when I couldn’t find the right words in English, which was quite frustrating. Moving forward, I want to make the most of my facial expressions and body language, and truly value the mindset of simply “wanting to communicate.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u30d0\u30c6\u30a4\u9ad8\u6821\u3067\u6298\u308a\u7d19\u3092\u4f7f\u3063\u305f\u4ea4\u6d41\u3092\u884c\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u79c1\u306f\u3053\u306e\u4ea4\u6d41\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u30d0\u30c6\u30a4\u9ad8\u6821\u306e\u751f\u5f92\u9054\u306b\u5bfe\u3057\u3066\u3044\u304b\u306b\u5206\u304b\u308a\u3084\u3059\u3044\u82f1\u8a9e\u3092\u4f7f\u3046\u304b\u306a\u3069\u3092\u610f\u8b58\u3057\u3066\u63a5\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002We conducted an activity using origami at Batheay High School. Through this activity, I was able to be mindful of how to use clear and easy-to-understand English when interacting with the students at Batheay High School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u30ab\u30f3\u30dc\u30b8\u30a2\u306e\u5b66\u751f\u306b\u66f8\u9053\u3092\u6559\u3048\u308b\u7d4c\u9a13\u306f\u3001\u975e\u5e38\u306b\u8cb4\u91cd\u306a\u5b66\u3073\u3068\u306a\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u8a00\u8a9e\u306e\u9055\u3044\u304c\u3042\u308b\u4e2d\u3067\u3082\u3001\u66f8\u9053\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u4ea4\u6d41\u3067\u304d\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306b\u610f\u7fa9\u3092\u611f\u3058\u308b\u3068\u3068\u3082\u306b\u3001\u6587\u5316\u3092\u5171\u6709\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306e\u5927\u5207\u3055\u3092\u5b9f\u611f\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002Teaching calligraphy to Cambodian students was a very valuable experience for me. Even though we had language differences, I felt it was meaningful to connect through calligraphy, and I realized the importance of sharing culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
