For our 4th\u00a0English Lecture of the year (October 30), Cindy Daugherty of Seinan Gakuin\u00a0University in\u00a0Fukuoka gave a wonderful talk on the significance and history of stereotypes of women and fashion. After watching excerpts of the movie, “The Devil Wears Prada”, Ms Daugherty went back\u00a0through the history of fashion to explain how women’s clothing came to be like it is now.<\/p>\n
