On June 27, 2015, two of our 1st-year students\u2014Anna Okabayashi and Saori Ide\u2014took part in the\u00a027th Mackenzie Cup English Recitation Contest at Baiko Gakuin\u00a0University in Shimonoseki. They had to perform a very difficult speech; The Great Dictator<\/em> by Charles Chaplin. A total of eight students took part, with other students coming from Baiko Gakuin\u00a0University, the\u00a0University of\u00a0Kitakyushu, and\u00a0Fukuoka\u00a0University of\u00a0Education. One of our students, Saori Ide was successful in gaining 3rd place in this difficult contest, with 1st and 2nd places being taken by\u00a0University of\u00a0Kitakyushu students. Congratulations Saori, and well done both of you for persevering and taking part.<\/p>\n
