大学公式キャラクター要(かなめ)ちゃんについて

地域連携室では、2017 年4月に学生及び教職員を対象にキャッチコピーとイメージキャラクターの募集を行い、最優秀賞には学生からの応募作品が選ばれました。

羊と天使はキリスト教、洋服の糸の模様は人々を繋ぐという意味を込め、地域貢献や福祉学科を表しています。エプロンは栄養学科と保育科、背中の羽は、白衣の天使を表す看護学科と世界に羽ばたく英語学科と観光文化学科を表現しています。

2018 年 10 月に、大学公式キャラクターとなりました。キャッチコピー「とどけ!ぬくもり要(かなめ)から」『西南女学院は「西女」すなわち「要」となる。

西南女学院大学英語学科とは？

We belong to the Department of English in the Faculty of Humanities at Seinan Jo Gakuin University—a private Christian women’s university located in Kitakyushu, a city in the north of Kyushu, Japan. We run an intensive English programme that aims to develop our students’ total communicative skills through a blend of in-class instruction and extra-curricular activities. 西南女学院大学人文学部英語学科は九州の北九州にあるキリスト教系の私立女子大学です。私たちは、授業と課外活動を組み合わせた総合的なコミュニケーション能力の向上を目的とした集中英語プログラムを運営しています。
