English Camp
Straight after Golden Week every year, we take our 1st and 2nd year students off on a 2-day English Camp. We take a number of guests as well: visitors from our foreign partner schools and students from Winchester University who are studying with us. The purpose of this camp is to get to know each other better, and to develop our study skills. We plan many activities for the students to do—some for serious purposes, and some for fun. The highlight of the camp are the English Skit performances. Every class puts on a 8-minute, all-English performance that they have created and practiced. Usually the teachers and guests add their own funny performance. Here are some photos from our 2014 camp.
毎年、ゴールデンウイークが終わるとすぐに1.2年生の生徒達は1泊2日で行われるEnglish Campへと向かいます。外国の姉妹校から来るゲスト達や共に大学で勉強しているウィンチェスター大学の生徒達も一緒に参加するので、キャンプを通して交流を深めることが出来ます。このキャンプの目的は、お互いをよりよく知り合う事、そしてなりより、自分達の英語のスキルを上げることです。キャンプでは、沢山のイベントを用意しています。真面目に取り組む事だったり、もちろん楽しい事だったり…目玉は何と言っても、皆で行う英語劇のパフォーマンスです。1.2年生のすべてのクラスが持ち時間8分の中で、自分達で劇を作り上げ練習し、発表します。先生達やゲスト達もまた毎年楽しいパフォーマンスを見せてくれます。優勝グループには豪華な景品がもらえちゃうかも！？
