今日は教育ボランティアの授業のフィールドワークで北九州市水環境館に行ってきました！ここは紫川の歴史や生態について学べる施設で、川に生息する生き物を無料で見学することができます。生息域ごとに分けられた展示は水族館のようで、大人も子供も楽しめる内容でした！特に印象に残ったのは、大きなガラス窓から実際の紫川の様子を見ることができたことです。そこから天然の魚たちが泳いでいるのが見えて、とても興味深かったです。小倉のことを学びながら、生き物についても楽しく学べる、とても良い経験になりました✨
Today, I went on a fieldwork activity for my educational volunteer class to the Kitakyushu Water Environment Museum! This facility lets you learn about the history and ecosystem of the Murasakigawa. You can also see river creatures for free, and the exhibits are organized by habitat, making it feel like a small aquarium—both adults and children can enjoy it. What impressed me the most was the large glass window where we could actually observe the real river. I was able to see natural fish swimming, which was really interesting. It was a great experience where I could learn about Kokura and also enjoy learning about living things!✨ (Nene S. 英語学科3年生)
今日は教育ボランティア演習の授業のフィールドワークで、北九州市小倉にある北九州市水環境館に行ってきました。このフィールドワークは今後作成する英語を使った教育コンテンツのためです。ここは紫川の歴史や水環境について学べる施設で、入館は無料なのに内容がとても充実していて、正直想像以上に楽しめる場所でした。館内には、紫川に生息する魚や生き物たちが展示されていて、生息域ごとに分かれているので「どこにどんな生き物がいるのか」がすごく分かりやすかったです。特に印象に残っているのは、大きなガラス窓から実際の紫川の中の様子をそのまま見ることができる展示です。水槽ではなく“本物の川”を覗けるなかなかない体験で、普段何気なく見ている川の中ってこんな風になってるんだと気づけたのも面白かったポイントです。また、展示を見ていく中で、紫川が昔どんな状態だったのかや、水質を良くするための取り組みについても知ることができました。ただ楽しいだけじゃなくて、環境を守ることの大切さについても考えさせられる内容で、教育ボランティア演習の授業としてもすごく意味のあるフィールドワークだったと思います。今回の見学を通して、紫川についての理解が深まっただけでなく、身近な自然にもっと目を向けてみようと思えるきっかけにもなりました。普段は通り過ぎるだけの川でも、見方を変えるとこんなに面白いんだなと実感することができました！
Today, I went to the Kitakyushu Water Environment Museum in Kokura for a fieldwork class in my education volunteer course. This place is a museum where we can learn about the history and water environment of the Murasaki River. Admission is free, but the exhibits were very interesting and better than I expected. Inside, there are many fish and living things from the river. They are shown by area, so it is easy to understand where each animal lives. The most impressive part was a big glass window where we could see the real river. It was not a tank, but the actual river. I could see wild fish swimming there. It was a rare experience, and I learned that the river I usually see has many living things inside. Also, I learned about the past of the Murasaki River and how people are trying to make the water cleaner. It was not only fun, but it also made me think about the importance of protecting nature. I think this fieldwork was a very meaningful experience. Through this visit, I learned more about the Murasaki River. It also made me want to pay more attention to nature around me.
