Eco-Tourism Project

Our Winchester students and some of our 3rd-year students spent the weekend on an Eco-Tourism project planting rice and sweet potatoes in Toho-Mura near Hita. We also made our own soba noodles. In the evening, we enjoyed a local fire festival and firefly watching. Great fun, and a wonderful learning experience! We’ll be back in the fall to harvest the rice and sweet potatoes, and enjoy a yaki-imo feast.
