Our Sudanese Visitor

On October 20, we welcomed Zein from Sudan onto our campus. He spent 90 minutes talking to many of our 3rd-year seminar students about the lifestyles and culture of Sudan, plus shared his own life story. 10月20日、スーダン出身のゼインさんをキャンパスにお迎えしました。3年生のゼミ生を前に、90分にわたってスーダンの生活や文化について、またご自身の体験談を交えて話してくださいました。

He first came to Japan at the age of 15 through the sponsorship of NPO Rocinantes. After studying here, he returned to Sudan, went to university, and then became a professional soccer player. After a knee injury forced his retirement, he opened a sports shop in the capital of Khartoum. He was visiting Japan looking for sponsorship to create a clinic for sports injuries in Sudan. 15歳のとき、NPO法人ロシナンテスの支援で来日。その後、スーダンに戻り、大学に進学し、プロのサッカー選手となりました。膝の故障で引退後、首都ハルツームでスポーツショップを開業。スーダンにスポーツ傷害のためのクリニックを作るため、スポンサーを探して来日しています。
