On Friday, October 16, 24 of our Year 2 students visited the Kitakyushu Environment Museum as part of their 地域プロジェクト (Community Project) course. While they were there, they learned about the background to Kitakyushu’s current environmental programs, and were give a chance to see the terrible situations that the city’s people were living in during the post-war period. A very instructive and sobering visit, tied in with reference to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals that we are currently studying.
