Cambodian Visitors

This week, we welcomed Geksonrng and Meymey, two Cambodian students currently visiting Japan. Despite having just arrived in wintry Japan, they joined one of our Year 2 classes and gave an interesting presentation about Cambodia. Following that, our students broke into groups and gave them short presentations about Japan and its culture. It was a very fun afternoon, and it gave us a chance to celebrate all of our students taking part in “Coming-of-Age” ceremonies this weekend.

On Saturday, Geksonrng and Meymey were given a tour of Kitakyushu by Year 1 members of our Golden Z circle. It was a great chance to see the city and sample some local food.

We hope they enjoy the rest of their visit to Japan, despite the current very cold weather!

今週は、カンボジアから来日中の学生、ゲクソンさんとマイマイさんを歓迎いたしました。冬の日本に着いたばかりにもかかわらず、2年生の授業に参加し、カンボジアについての興味深い発表をしてくれました。その後、本学の学生たちはグループに分かれ、日本とその文化について短い発表を行いました。大変楽しい午後となり、今週末に成人式を迎える全生徒を祝福する機会となりました。

土曜日には、ゴールデンZクラブの1年生メンバーがゲクソンさんとマイマイさんを北九州市内でご案内しました。街を見学し、地元の料理を味わう素晴らしい機会となりました。

厳しい寒さの中ではありますが、日本滞在の残りを楽しんでいただければ幸いです。
