2022 International University of Kagoshima Online Debate Contest

2022鹿児島国際大学オンラインディベートコンテスト

On Friday, June 24, students from Seinan Jo Gakuin University joined students from the International University of Kagoshima for a debate contest. There were 3 teams and they debated the topic of “hometown hospitality”. The Seinan Jo Gakuin University team introduced Kokura Castle, Mojiko Retro, and local festivals. After all the teams had finished debating, the results were announced. The winner was… Seinan Jo Gakuin University! Congratulations to our three students. We are looking forward to next year’s contest.

6月24日（金）、西南女学院大学の学生が鹿児島国際大学の学生とディベートコンテストに参加しました。3チームが参加し、「ふるさとのおもてなし」というテーマでディベートを行いました。西南女学院大学チームは、小倉城、門司港レトロ、地元のお祭りなどを紹介しました。全チームのディベートが終了した後、結果発表が行われました。優勝は…西南女学院大学! 3名の学生の皆さん、おめでとうございます。来年のコンテストが楽しみです。

Memi Sono: “I’m so thankful for the chance that I could interact with the IUK team again. Last year, we lost because of counter arguments being too short, but we got the first prize this year. I’m so happy:) There being less interaction event with other universities recently, I think it could give me motivation. Thank you very much. 私たちの大学のある北九州のおもてなしについて考えることや、鹿児島にある有名なものについて知る良い機会でした。一人一人の言葉から日本らしい、その町らしいおもてなしを学ぶことができました。ありがとうございました！
