Studying Abroad in Cyprus

私は現在、英語を勉強するためにキプロスに滞在しています。キプロスは地中海に浮かぶ小さな島国で、ギリシャとトルコの文化が混在しています。ヨーロッパの一部です。キプロスに馴染みのない人も多いだろうし、日本人も少ない。私の語学学校でも、日本人は私を含めて2人しかいない。しかし、これが私がキプロスを留学先に選んだ理由のひとつでもあります。

I am currently in Cyprus to study English. Cyprus is a small island country in the Mediterranean, with a mix of Greek and Turkish cultures. It is part of Europe. Many people might not be familiar with Cyprus, and there are very few Japanese people here. In my language school, there are only two of us, including myself. However, this was one of the reasons I chose Cyprus as my study destination.

ホームステイをしているのですが、ホストマザーが毎日キプロスの伝統料理を作ってくれます。キプロスには美しいビーチやヨーロッパ風の建物があり、場所によって景色が変わります。歩いていると、いつも新しい発見があるので、とてもわくわくします。放課後や週末は、ショッピングをしたり、海辺を走ったりして過ごしています。いろいろな国籍の人が集まる国で、楽しく過ごしています。

I am staying with a host family, and my host mother makes traditional Cypriot dishes every day. Cyprus has beautiful beaches and European-style buildings, and the scenery changes depending on the location. When I walk around, I feel very excited because there’s always something new to see. After school and on weekends, I spend my time shopping or running along the seaside. I am having fun in a country where people of many different nationalities come together.
